Bill and Kelley Housley - New Tribes Mission

NTM coordinates and supports missionaries sent by local churches to take the Gospel to tribal people that have no written language. Bill and Kelley and their daughters Madison (14) and Sabra (12) have lived with the Inapang people at Itutang, Papua New Guinea since April of 2004. After learning their culture and language, (CLA, Culture and Language Acquisition), they then made an alphabet for them and started literacy classes in November of 2006, (the tribal men are now teaching those classes). They then started translating the Bible unto their language and began to teach through the Bible chronologically from Genesis to Revelation in June of 2007. As Bill and Kelley and their partners the Moores (from England) taught through the Gospels, God was pleased to save most of the adult population and a number of the young people of the Itutang village. To the praise of God’s glory they now have a strong growing indigenous church that is reaching out to the other 9 villages of the Inapang people and have plans to reach the surrounding language groups. www.ntm.org
